Administration

   The government of the Municipality consists of a Municipal Council and a Mayor. The Municipal Council, within its powers, defines the overall Municipal Development Policy, and also adopts and controls the implementation of the Municipal Development Programme. It solves problems of local importance, which are not within the exclusive competence of other bodies defined by the law, and with functions, set by the central state bodies. The Mayor has the Executive Power within the Municipality.
